Description

The Orangutan tours we provide are not only holidays, but a truly special window into human evolution. Orangutans, the only great ape in Asia, share 97 % of their DNA with human beings and fittingly, ‘orangutan’ means man of the forest. The Orangutan Guided Tours highlight all of our shared similarities with these special great apes.

We will visit 3 Orangutan feeding stations. We deeply respect the Orangutans so there is no initiating contact with them.  However, sheer awe and amazement are encouraged!

We provide truly unique wildlife experiences, and most importantly, the opportunity to see Asia’s Great Apes. Staying on the traditional wooden houseboat called Kelotok is an unforgettable memory that will last a lifetime.

Community support by providing alternate green jobs for locals. Accompanied by Villager, you will enjoy a jungle walk for approximately 3,5 hours. It is just remind us to the Birute Galdikas quote “ as I sit, my back leaning againist a damp, moss-covered tree trunk, my eyes sweeping the canopy above, my ears straining to catch the crack of a distant branch that betrays an orangutan moving in the treetops. I think about how we humans search for God. The tropical rain forest is the most complex thing an ordinary human can experience on this planet. A walk in the rain forest as a walk into the mind of the God.” (Birute M.F. Galdikas, Reflection of Eden: My Years with the Orangutans of Borneo. Your walk will meet a small balck water river where another man from the village waiting you with a small canoe. You will have an experience to ride a small canoe just like a local, paddling down to the artery river in the jungle, where your kelotok houseboat is awaiting. Lunch will be provided on the boat. After your short break, boat will cruise and challenge you for wildlife spotting. Next, we cruising to the downstream in Sungai Sekonyer, our next destination is Tanjung Harapan. It will be really interesting if you can be found the most 3 important to figure out a dominant, one of them is big nose. Looking for a good place to have dinner beneath fireflies. If the weather good (no rain, no wind) we can see a million of fireflies like a christmas tree, but we can’t quarantee about this. We will try to do best effort and find out the best place.
