Itinerary
Arrival at Balikpapan Airport, meet and great with our guide. Direct transfer from BALIKPAPAN to LOA JANAN, arrive and on board to houseboat, upstream Mahakam river to MUARA MUNTAI. Our houseboat will move during day and night. Many traditional villages on the river bank and local activities you could see along the way.Accommodation and meals provided.
Early morning arrive in MUARA MUNTAI. Sightseeing around the village to see the activity of local people, direct transfer by motorized canoe to cross the vast Jempang Lake and small river on the way to MANCONG (will combine with land transport via TANJUNG ISUY, if the water level not permitted). Upon arrival experience the welcome ceremony, visit the grand traditional Long House of BENUAQ DAYAK’s Tribe. Afterwards return to MUARA MUNTAI and continue the tri to MELAK. Accommodation and meals provided on boat.
Morning arrival at MELAK. A half day excursion by car to KERSIK LUWAI to
observe the nature forest with its black
orchid (blooming time seasonal). Proceed
to EHENG to see the TUNJUNG DAYAK’s
long house and their activity. Visit JANTUR
INAR waterfall before drive back to Melak and cruise down to TENGGARONG.
Accommodation and meals provided on boat.
Arrive at TENGGARONG in the middle of day and direct transfer to BALIKPAPAN.
